General summary
Provides project management for the University’s Regional Area Health Education Center.
Major duties
- Conducts an assessment of the counties in the University’s Regional Area Health Education Center region, including identifying secondary data and developing procedures and instruments for collecting primary data. Develops and implements strategies and materials for sharing assessment findings with the community advisory board and other stakeholders.
- Develops, implements, evaluates and manages a variety of programs and provides technical assistance to other agencies, organizations and institutions on program development, implementation and evaluation.
- Collects and reports data on programmatic impact on health careers and health professionals to the Michigan Area Health Education Center in order to meet the reporting requirements of Health Resources and Services Administration.
- Analyzes and interprets data and prepares data reports for the region.
- Identifies potential stakeholders and conducts outreach designed to develop collaborative relationships with key internal and external constituencies.
- Develops a sustainability plan for the region, including identifying grant opportunities, preparing grant applications and developing and implementing other fund-raising strategies.
Minimum qualifications

Required education
- Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- Three years’ relevant experience.
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
