General summary
Manages the Core-Plus Mathematics Project.
Major duties
- Provides financial management of the project and related project grants, including development of budgetary reports, budget forecasts and budget recommendations. Rewrites yearly budgets as needed. Ensures project and state guidelines and other requirements are met.
- Plans and administers the project's summer workshops, conferences, advisory board meetings and workshops as needed. Designs and oversees maintenance of databases for tracking and maintaining data.
- Communicates with internal and external project participants. Serves as the project liaison with external agencies and participants. Resolves problems related to grant activities and budgets. Publicizes project information, including the development of brochures, information packets, newsletters and articles.
- Provides technical expertise in the preparation of new grant proposals, including electronic technology and budgetary reports and recommendations.
- Supervises staff. Oversees work flow and direction of the unit. Resolves personnel and operational issues.
Minimum qualifications

Required education
- Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- Three years' relevant experience.
- Supervisory or lead experience.
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Budget management experience.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
