General summary

Assists with the room scheduling of academic and non-academic needs for the University.

Major duties

  • Schedules rooms for student events and processes schedule changes requested by departments. Ensures compliance with University policies and procedures.
  • Assists in resolving scheduling conflicts between academic courses and special events.
  • Assists with the maintenance and accuracy of course curricula data. Updates course offering changes to reflect the most current information. Coordinates academic course related class fees.
  • Advises and assists students, faculty and staff on general questions regarding policies, procedures and course offerings.

Minimum qualifications

Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.

Required education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Required experience

  • One year's relevant experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with word-processing and spreadsheet software.
  • Experience with using and querying databases.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
