General summary
Oversees student recruitment and yield activities in order to support institutional enrollment goals and priorities.
Major duties
- Develops, oversees, implements, and evaluates recruitment and yield programs and events in order to enhance the institution’s ability to attract new and talented students.
- Collaborates with other department leaders to develop goals and objectives for each admission event and the campus visit program. Assesses and evaluates event program contributions to the recruitment goals of the institution.
- Oversees transfer recruitment and yield initiatives, including credit evaluation, articulation agreements, and transfer guides in order to promote institutional success.
- Manages training for team members and develops training plans to ensure knowledge and success throughout the enrollment cycle.
- Manages the department’s budget for all campus visit initiatives, transfer recruitment and yield. Reports on return on investment.
- Ensures quality customer service delivery in a timely manner.
- Hires, trains, evaluates and supervises staff and student employees.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.
Required education
- Master's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- Three years' relevant experience.
- Supervisory or lead experience.
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Budget management experience.
Required other
- Ability to travel in-state and out-of-state.
- Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including evenings and weekends.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
