General summary

Oversees the course articulation and evaluation process.

Major duties

  • Maintains transfer course equivalency information and develops transfer program guides and articulation agreements. Monitors the impact of course equivalency changes and makes recommendations for revisions.
  • Assigns guide review to the appropriate departments and monitors responses to ensure that decisions are received in a timely fashion.
  • Manages the transfer credit evaluations web presence. Develops a process to continuously update course equivalences on the web.
  • Manages the official credit evaluation and articulation information on the student information system. Determines how courses transfer and when courses need review by academic departments. Makes independent judgement about transfer-ability of courses.
  • Develops procedures and processes to evaluate transfer credit for applicants to programs with special transfer policies.
  • Develops, tests and revises transfer articulation procedures wen system software upgrades affect user interface or functionality.
  • Manages the review of curriculum and general education guides. Collaborates with other University departments to review guides.
  • Hires, trains, evaluates and supervises staff.

Minimum qualifications

Required education

  • Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • Two year's relevant experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of transfer credit evaluation and its role in transfer student recruitment and enrollment.

  • Master’s degree in related field from an accredited institution.

Desired experience

  • Three years’ relevant experience.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
