General summary

Coordinates various department processes and programs and performs data entry. Provides clerical and administrative support for all human resources units.

Major duties

  • Provides front desk customer service.
  • Provides support to department units. Responds to internal and external requests for employee information, including the creation of transaction forms.
  • Prepares and sends written correspondence to internal and external customers and responds to routine requests.
  • Coordinates the Form I-9 process and serves as the point person for all processing and audits. Maintains hard copy and electronic files. Responds to general questions.
  • Coordinates the student and graduate assistant appointments and transaction processes, including data entry and student mass terms. Analyzes, interprets, identifies discrepancies, and resolves problems from source documents.
  • Coordinates the electronic personnel file process. Reviews scanning, verifies documents, and audits for errors.
  • Coordinates, and participates in additional processes and programs.

Minimum qualifications

Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.

Required education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Required experience

  • Proficiency with word-processing and spreadsheet software.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
