General summary
Coordinates projects that transform, preserve and provide access to digital content of material owned or made available to the University Libraries.
Major duties
- Manages digital projects, meeting goals and outcomes, budgets and schedules through planning processes.
- Assists in administrative planning and program management by recommending guidelines, workflows, communication, new technologies, problem solving and best practices
- Collaborates with library and University staff to maintain a project management focused environment for a range of programs and team efforts, including institutional repositories and grant administration.
- Provides comprehensive communication as the primary contact for all user and stakeholder interactions. Collaborates with librarians and curators to promote collections and initiatives to the University and associated communities.
- Coordinates standards for digital content with faculty and hosting infrastructures, documents and review policies needed to ensure optimal operability.
- Trains and supervises student employees.

Required education
- Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required experience
- Five years' relevant experience
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to work as a team member in a complex organization.
- Working knowledge of current trends and best practices in capturing, hosting, presenting, preserving and curating digital content in standard formats.
- Experience in project management and in preparing written documentation of project functions and activities.
- Supervisory or lead experience.
- Technical knowledge base and skill sets including several operating platforms.
- Experience with design software tools, scanning applications and general computer networks.
Required other
- Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including evenings and weekends.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
