General summary
Assists in management of the curriculum review process, the University’s degree audit software and catalog production.
Major duties
- Oversees the daily operations of the registrars office. Develops and implements policies and procedures for the office. Makes decisions and attends meetings in the absence of the Registrar.
- Oversees the maintenance and support of the University’s degree audit software. Facilities the scribing of program requirements making sure all University requirements are being appropriately enforced by the system. Assists advisors and academic departments with problem resolution relating to the University’s degree audit software.
- Manages the final steps of the curriculum review process that creates, deletes or modifies courses and programs. Coordinates with the curriculum manager and various curriculum and faculty senate committees to review curriculum proposals and ensure a smooth flow of information.
- Coordinates the annual production of the undergraduate and graduate catalogs to ensure they are up to date with all curriculum changes including all changes to courses, programs and graduation requirements. Verifies that academic policies and University procedures are consistent between catalogs.
- Addresses and resolves complaints or problems which cannot be resolved by lead staff. Interprets and explains University, academic and federal policies and procedures to advisors, students, parents and other constituents.
- May supervise staff.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.
Required education
- Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- Three years' relevant experience.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
