General summary
Manages all departments funding programs. Provides lead budgetary support for internal funding programs. Performs executive administrative tasks.
Major duties
- Manages all internal funding programs and updates program guidelines. Ensures fiscal integrity of assigned budgets and procedures. Acts as the point of contact for faculty, staff, and administrators.
- Provides university-wide training related to funding opportunities and application process.
- Provides lead budgetary support for internal funding programs and other department projects.
- Creates and maintains financial records. Processes vouchers, performs internal transfers, prepares and analyzes budget reports. Researches budget issues and provides recommendations.
- Performs executive administrative tasks and response to inquiries. Utilizes contract management software to process contracts.
- Maintains department website. Serves as a member of the Web Users Group committee. Assists in developing policy related to website systems and standards.
- Provides new users with onboarding and training. Attends system training sessions related to functions and updates.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.
Required education
- Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- Three years' relevant experience.
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency with word-processing and spreadsheet software.
- Experience with using and querying databases and entering and tracking data.
- Budget management experience.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
