General summary

Responsible for designing, conducting, analyzing and reporting market research.

Major duties

  • Leads the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data using multiple software programs for a variety of proactive and reactive research projects.
  • Profiles and analyzes competitor programs including value proposition, practices and pricing strategies.
  • Evaluates new program viability based on market demands, trends, and needs. Proactively identifies and communicates opportunities for revisions to existing University offerings in collaboration with faculty and administration.
  • Designs, conducts, and coordinates effective research studies using qualitative and quantitative methods. Works with departments and colleges to determine best practices for improving program quality through use of primary and secondary data.
  • Creates detailed data reports in multiple formats, that are easy to understand. Builds and maintains interactive dashboards and data visualizations using state-of-the-art software. Presents results to department leadership team and external constituents.
  • Implements best practices related to market research integration into decision making strategies and plans processes.
  • Leads and manages research studies using outside agencies.

Minimum qualifications

Required education

  • Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • Three years’ relevant experience.
  • Experience in market research strategy and analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet and database software applications.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and multitasking ability. Strong analytical skills.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting/moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors and/or any number of elements.
