General summary
Assists in the administration and reconciliation of the purchasing card and travel service programs for the University.
Major duties
- Monitors purchasing card and travel service programs use. Provides management reporting and audit/system administration related to card profiles, card issuance and fraud prevention in partnership with internal audit and the external vendor.
- Processes transactions and system interfaces in partnership with Human Resources.
- Participates in time and attendance projects and processes. Develops training materials and sessions, tests application updates and processes, and updates pay practice rules.
- Reconciles bank statements for payroll and accounts payable in support of quarterly and year-end tax filings. Participates in year-end departmental processes related to W-2, 1042-S and 1099 production.
- Serves in a cross-functional capacity supporting accounts payable functions including but not limited to voucher processing, vendor setup and payroll processing for biweekly and semimonthly payroll.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.
Required education
- Associate's degree or two years' college coursework in a related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- One year’s relevant experience.
- Payroll operations in automated timekeeping system.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
