General summary
Conducts clinical trauma assessments and provides follow-up advocacy. Delivers training.
Major duties
- Conducts clinical trauma assessments. Writes comprehensive trauma assessment reports. Collaborates with transdisciplinary teams to compile conclusions from assessments.
- Provides advocacy for families and children assessed.
- Collaborates with the training coordinator to evaluate incoming training requests at the center. Provides training in the community and throughout Michigan.
- Communicates with agencies requesting training to determine expected outcomes.
- Assists with training student interns.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.
Required education
- Master's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- Two years' relevant experience.
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Required other
- Licensure as a Master-level Social Worker (LMSW) in the State of Michigan.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
