General summary
Coordinates student employment services and employer engagement programming and functions at the University.
Major duties
- Supports employer relations and job development for multiple colleges. Coordinates and supports major career events, including career fairs and interview days. Recruits and coordinates volunteers for events.
- Handles University-wide employer inquiries and questions. Promotes career and employer programming and resources.
- Assists with the customer and employee relationship management system. Provides support in developing processes and standard operating procedures for the system. Develops documentation and training materials for the relationship management system and the University’s payment system.
- Manages and facilitates campus-wide faculty classroom presentations, registered student organization speaking engagements, kiosk sessions, information tables, employer panels, on-campus interviews, career education sessions, practice interviews, mock job fairs, etc.
- Collaborates with University colleges and departments to reserve locations, parking, etc., and secure confirmations for visits. Assists with the department website. Monitors email accounts and calendars to ensure efficient on-campus recruiting activities at various locations.
- Assists in monitoring and tracking hires, surveying employers, and reporting recruiting activity data.
- Hires, trains, evaluates, and supervises student employees.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.
Required education
- Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- Two years' relevant experience.
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience using and querying databases.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
