General summary
Manages and oversees projects related to the Geosciences department.
Major duties
- Manages operational activities for the department including purchasing academic scheduling, ordering and website maintenance.
- Manages and evaluates program initiatives, including data analysis and monitoring the performance of existing and new programs.
- Plans and administers logistics for hiring workshops, hydro field camp, advisory board meetings, and other outreach activities.
- Manages outreach activities of the department. Initiates and participates in recruitment activities of existing and new programs.
- Provides financial management of assigned projects, including the development of budgetary reports, forecasts, and recommendations.
- Serves as building coordinator.
- Hires, trains, evaluates, and supervises staff and student employees.
Minimum qualifications

Required education
- Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- Three years' relevant experience.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.

Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
