General summary

Directs activities of the market research and analytics team, the business services team, recruitment and retention systems team and the project management office for Extended University Programs.

Major duties

  • Plans process improvements and program development. Guides business decision making in order to support strategy and long-term outcomes.
  • Oversees implementation of strategic initiatives in support of program and University goals.
  • Directs and oversees capital expenditure projects. Ensures program funds are appropriated properly and that projects are completed on-time and within budget.
  • Directs the program revenue share process in order to return program funds to the departmental general fund as well as colleges and departments.
  • Directs internal business services, including but not limited to payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Oversees implementation of the program financial model in order to ensure funding is distributed responsibly and sustainably.
  • Directs and monitors activities of the market research and analytics, budget and finance and program management teams.
  • Develops financial revenue models for contract education programs. Collaborates with University departments in order to meet customer needs.
  • Maintains effective relationships with academic colleges and departments. Serves on campus committees as requested.

Required education

  • Master's degree in related field from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • Five years' relevant experience.
  • Leadership experience in business operations in large, complex organization(s).
  • Analytical and planning skills.
  • Budget management including fiscal analyses.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
