General summary

Develops content for promotional and instructional purposes using contemporary interactive, emerging technologies. Leads the design, development and maintenance of interactive objects.

Major duties

  • Designs platforms and content for instructional and promotional purposes in collaboration with University stakeholders.
  • Maintains and migrates tools and content to current standards and form factors.
  • Remains up to date with relevant developments, including interactive experiences, tools, techniques and methods required to produce high-quality, engaging content.
  • Provides training and awareness sessions for stakeholders and the University community in order to demonstrate the capabilities of tools and content leveraging interactive technologies.
  • Seeks grants and partnerships with external constituencies that will yield rapid development strategies, innovative solutions and positive recognition for the University.

Minimum qualifications

Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.

Required education

  • Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • Three years' relevant experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in at least one modern programming language.
  • Proficient with computer science fundamentals in object-oriented, data structures and algorithms.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
