General summary
Manages student records and processing application data to prepare applicant files for decision making. Ensures data quality and integrity in various information systems.
Major duties
- Creates, updates, and maintains applicant records in the customer relationship management system and student information system by entering both text-based and numerical data from printed and digital documents such as transcripts, test scores, and other application materials.
- Prepares records for recruitment-related communication, application review, and student enrollment.
- Communicates with internal and external customers via phone and email regarding admission policies and procedure while providing exceptional customer service.
- Serves prospective students and families in-person during admissions recruitment and yield events.
- Ensures data entry accuracy by adhering to operational policies and procedures by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering applicant data. Provides feedback on inefficiencies and suggests updates to improve procedures.
- Maintains confidentiality of data and complies with data integrity and security policies. Ensures compliance with University requirements for all applicants in order to maintain institutional academic integrity.
- Assist with generating applicant communication and decision letters using various software.
- Assist with package shipment, mail receipt/distribution, folding and stuffing letters.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.
Required education
- High school diploma or equivalent
Required experience
- One year's relevant experience.
- Office experience with data entry and databases.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
