General summary
Recruits incoming first-year and transfer students with an emphasis on building relationships and providing exemplary customer service from inquiry to matriculation. Develops, executes and evaluates programmatic focus areas.
Major duties
- Effectively recruits undergraduate students within assigned in and out-of-state territories. Ensures recruitment and enrollment goals are met or exceeded. Monitors reports and develops timely strategies to move prospective students through the enrollment funnel.
- Manages an assigned geographical territory. Identifies new opportunities and develops strategies to increase enrollment. Analyzes data and statistics to identify trends and patterns that affect recruitment. Measures effectiveness of recruitment tactics.
- Promotes the University via high school visits, college fairs and on-campus programming. Remains current with enrollment management practices and best practices in recruitment communication technologies.
- Engages in professional organizations that align with the Universities goals. Participates and engages with staff development activities.
- Reads and evaluates applications to render admissions decisions.
- Develops, executes, and evaluates assigned programmatic focus areas, including events, strategic populations, marketing and communication, social media, training and development and CRM utilization.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.
Required education
- Bachelor’s degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- Three years’ relevant experience.
- Experience in admission, advising, marketing or student affairs.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
Required other
- Ability to travel in-state and out-of-state.
- Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including evenings and weekends.

Desired education
- Master's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
