General summary

Provides marketing support and data management that supports college assessment and compliance activities.

Major duties

  • Gathers and monitors data collection relative to recruitment and outreach efforts for evaluation of recruitment and outreach initiatives and overall yield. Audits data for reliability and accuracy.
  • Analyzes and interprets data. Monitors progress toward strategic planning goals, short- and long-term goals and objectives, and prepares reports. Maintains outcome data for forecasting and analysis.
  • Manages the customer relationship management system for the college. Collaborates with internal stakeholders to develop and manage communication plans for a variety of audiences.
  • Assists with communications, marketing promotions, public relations, development of promotional material, social media management and website maintenance for the college. Develops and implements marketing strategies to recruit students and make connections with families and organizations serving historically underrepresented populations.
  • Leads, events for recruitment, outreach, and continuing education by serving as the facilitator, presenter, and coordinator.
  • Prepares, runs, and reviews standard reports ensuring accuracy of data for internal and external stakeholders. Develops and implements strategies and ensures efficient use of technology-driven recruitment, outreach, yield, and admitted student systems. Ensures the security and confidentiality of data and reports.
  • Participates in project teams and work groups to improve data availability and reporting.
  • Hires, trains, evaluates and supervises student employees.

Minimum qualifications

Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.

Required education

  • Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • Two years' relevant experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Experience in data collection, statistical reporting and database management.
  • Experience with using and querying databases and entering and tracking data.
  • Experience in the design and production of promotion, communication, and outreach materials.
  • Proven marketing success in program advancement metrics.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds. 

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
