General summary
Supervises behavior management services at both on-site day programs and residential locations.
Major duties
- Responsible for the direct supervision of residential and day program locations.
- Leads and conducts clinical assessments. Supervises clinical processes and protocols for clinical interventions.
- Writes behavior management protocols. Supervises behavioral interventions for clients, including individuals with autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities and conditions.
- Provides direct care and behavior management services to clients in emergency on-call situations.
- Oversees accreditation standards and contract compliance for services.
- Hires, trains, evaluates and supervises staff and student employees.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.
Required education
- Master's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- Three years' relevant experience.
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with individuals with autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders.
Required other
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), or Licensure as a Master-level Social Worker (LMSW) in the State of Michigan, or relevant industry licensure.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
