General summary
Leads the University's Fulbright programs, including incoming and outgoing scholars, faculty development, exchange programs, and program fund.
Major duties
- Serves as a campus representative for the Fulbright program. Advises students and faculty on program applications, grants, awards, and scholarships.
- Serves as campus liaison for faculty interested in applying for awards and international scholars. Responsible for faculty development and enrichment activities.
- Oversees program fund and other faculty and staff abroad opportunities.
- Advises and advocates for international students in crisis. Works with academic departments, offices and agencies on and off campus to assist students as needed.
- May assist and advise on study abroad related scholarships.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.
Required education
- Master's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- Three year's relevant experience.
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience and ability to work with diverse populations.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
