General summary

Provides a variety of clinical services including performing intake and assessments, assisting clinicians, providing phlebotomy, taking radiographic images, obtaining lab specimens and performing data entry.

Major duties

  • Provides intake and initial patient evaluation and assessment. Prepares patients for exams and treatments. Proactively problem-solves, identifies, and uses appropriate resources for patient care decisions.
  • Obtains pertinent paperwork for visit, permission for procedures, release of information, and clinical forms. Provides accurate documentation in the electronic medical records system.
  • Obtains and processes lab specimens including venous blood draws, urine collection, and nasal pharyngeal swabs. Completes and enters results for all point of care testing.
  • Assists attending clinicians with a variety of examinations and procedures.
  • Obtains, performs, and processes high quality radiographic images.
  • Stocks and maintains exam rooms with standard levels of supplies, medications, linens, forms, and equipment.
  • Maintains and uses principles of aseptic techniques and infection control when performing clinical duties and tasks.

Minimum qualifications

Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.

Required education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Required experience

  • Two years' relevant experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with performing and processing high quality radiographic images.

Required other

  • Phlebotomy Certification.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
