International Programs Development Specialist

General summary

Develops instructional material and coordinates educational content for international education programs.

Major duties

  • Coordinates multiple international programs. Liaises with academic departments, admissions counselors and program managers to ensure student success and retention. Tracks and monitors student progress.
  • Teaches courses as needed for multiple international engagement programs. Serves as co-faculty director for study abroad components.
  • Collaborates with University faculty and staff to develop general and custom short-term programs, including components and educational content.
  • Writes grant applications. Identifies and apples for external funding opportunities.
  • Provide program assessment and evaluation for international programs.

Minimum qualifications

Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.

Required education

  • Master's degree in related field from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • One year's relevant experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Familiarity with theories and practices of cross-cultural programming.
  • Demonstrated cross-cultural sensitivity and awareness.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
