General summary
Provides analyses and reports to support planning and assessment of assigned programs. Services and maintains specialized information software and supports end users in a lead role.
Major duties
- Provides support of clinical and practice management information system.
- Documents requirements for standard and ad hoc analyses and reports.
- Maintains specialized health information software, including installing and testing patches, upgrades, table updates and configuration.
- Establishes policies and procedures to ensure the reliability and security of information technology resources and compliance with the University’s standards.
- Creates, runs, and distributes standard and ad hoc reports.
- Participates in University-wide information technology strategic planning teams.
- Initiates support requests with software vendor and tracks resolution.
- Provides training to end-users. Develops programs and documentation for end-user training.
- Provides technical support to end- users.
- Hires, trains, provides direction to, and evaluates performance of staff and student employees.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.
Required education
- Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution
Required experience
- Five years' relevant experience
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Supervisory or lead experience.
- Critical thinking skills.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
