General summary

Manages the daily operations of international admissions and services operations.

Major duties

  • Manages the daily operations of international admissions and services operations, including processing, evaluation of international credentials, department liaison, admissions, and advising.
  • Reviews and maintains processes relating to partner agreements and special degree programs for students.
  • Oversees course articulation with international partner institutions. Collaborates with academic departments on equivalency determinations. Ensures timely communication with partners and accuracy of the student information system articulation tables.
  • Maintains best practices and technological developments in international credential evaluation and admissions.
  • Manages the merit-based University scholarship program for international students. Manages and recruits for sponsored student programs. Generates reports regarding students' application statuses.
  • Serves as a liaison with international agencies, embassies, and University departments to maintain relationships and smooth operation of scholarship requirements.
  • Serves on committees and workgroups at the unit leadership level.
  • Hires, trains, evaluates, and supervises staff and student employees.

Minimum qualifications

Required education

  • Master's degree in related field from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • Three years' relevant experience.
  • Supervisory or lead experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of U.S. immigration policies and regulations.
  • Knowledge of international educational systems and structures.
  • Demonstrated cross cultural sensitivity and interaction skills.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
