General summary

Assists in management of the student conduct office, including facilitation and management of the academic integrity process.

Major duties

  • Meets with students to facilitate the conduct process regarding alleged violations of the student code.
  • Assists with the management and facilitation of the academic integrity process.
  • Provides oversight and direction to faculty and student panelists, and serves as an intermediary between faculty and students for academic integrity concerns.
  • Coordinates assessment efforts for strategic planning.
  • Conducts workshops and presentations for University constituencies; coordinates academic integrity panel member training.
  • Assumes administrative responsibility for the department in the absence of leadership. Represents the department at University meetings, committees, and functions, as appropriate.
  • Collaborates with various University offices and departments to facilitate effective communication, student support, and appropriate conduct case resolution.
  • Responds to inquiries from outside constituents regarding student cases as prescribed by departmental, University, and other relevant policies and laws.
  • Hires, trains, evaluates, and supervises staff and student employees.

Minimum qualifications

Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.

Required education

  • Master's degree in related field from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • Three years' relevant experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in student affairs within a higher education establishment.
  • Demonstrated experience with educational conflict resolution beyond the graduate level.
  • Demonstrated conflict and behavior management skills.
  • Experience in supporting minoritized identities.
  • Familiarity with current legal issues in higher education.
  • Ability to work independently.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
