General summary

Manages the planning, development, installation and maintenance of the University's enterprise educational technology systems and services.

Major duties

  • Installs, maintains, and manages cloud-based and local instructional technology systems.
  • Requests support from software vendors and monitors the progress of the resolution.
  • Creates and maintains system and procedure documentation for instructional technology systems and system integrations.
  • Provides technical expertise for initiatives that incorporate instructional technology systems and integrations.
  • Drafts and implements project plans to deliver educational technology applications on time and within budget.
  • Creates policies and procedures to ensure reliable and secure integrations between different instructional technology systems.
  • Administers, maintains, and tests system integrations with relevant external and internal systems.

Minimum qualifications

Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.

Required education

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • Five years' relevant experience
  • Experience in administering information systems.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
