General summary
Provides project management services by administering and monitoring assigned facility construction projects.
Major duties
- Administers and monitors assigned facility construction projects with daily site visits, verifies compliance with project specifications.
- Prepares or reviews requests for proposals and participates in the bid review process. Plans, oversees budgets, and schedules
- Collaborates with the purchasing department on schedule development for the bidding process, identifies bidders, reviews bids, and interviews bidders.
- Maintains all project records and turnover documentation. Administers various preventative maintenance service agreements for facility building operations.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.
Required education
- Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution
Required experience
- Three years' relevant experience
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Project management experience.
- Budget management experience.
- Experience managing contractors or vendors.
- Working knowledge of the mechanical and electrical trades.
- Ability to interpret contracts.
- Ability to conduct on-site inspections
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is performed with exposure to any number of elements which may occasionally require some precautions such as safety glasses, protective clothing, ear protection, etc.
