General summary

Oversees the domestic and international recruitment, admissions and advising for graduate students. Administers faculty-led undergraduate and graduate study abroad programs.

Major duties

  • Develops and implements comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract a high-quality and diverse student body. Monitors application and enrollment trends in higher education.
  • Manages graduate program social media and website presence. Markets and represents programs at events both on and off-campus.
  • Advises and tracks progress of students enrolled in graduate programs. Provide academic advice and guidance to students. Assists in mediation and resolution of student and personnel issues.
  • Identifies and develops opportunities to increase student satisfaction, organizational efficiency, opportunities for student and alumni connection and other networking opportunities.
  • Collaborates with University offices regarding enrollment and course transferability.
  • Manages budget requirements and implementation of comprehensive recruitment strategies.
  • Directs and supervises the operations and personnel at the graduate program office and global business center.
  • Develops and maintains stakeholder relationships and serve as a representative on appropriate college and University committees, including various graduate programs.
  • Assists with the coordination and promotion of study abroad programs for undergraduate and graduate students. Assists with the strategic planning of graduate programs.
  • Hires, trains, evaluates and supervises staff and student employees.

Minimum qualifications

Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.

Required education

  • Master's degree in related field from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • Five years' relevant experience.
  • Supervisory or lead experience.
  • Knowledge of educational systems and structures outside of the U.S. Extensive depth of knowledge of University academic programs, requirements, policy, procedures and student development.
  • Experience cultivating relationships with faculty, staff and administrations in a higher educational institution.
  • Demonstrated cross-cultural sensitivity and awareness.

Required other

  • Ability to travel locally and internationally.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
