General summary
Responsible for growing Bronco Athletics brand awareness, increasing fan loyalty and activation and increasing revenues. Develops, creates, produces and executes digital, multimedia, video board, live stream assets, across currently available and emerging channels that yield results toward these stated goals.
Major duties
- Provides guidance and direction to staff involved in video board operations. Directs crew positions for each event. Directs event set-up and technical operations of video board event for assigned events. Shoots, edits, produces and distributes video and audio content for in-house video productions. Develops creative type of sponsorship activation and execute on game day.
- Directs and executes live stream events production. Manages event set-up and technical operations for all live stream events and operations. Continually explores technological and operational enhancements that improve live event production quality and enhance customer impression. Hires and works with professional talent for sports television networks airing University athletic teams. Manages and maintains all equipment used in streaming live events.
- Develops and prioritizes projects; shoots, edits, produces and distributes video and audio content for usage across various media platforms.
- Works closely with external units and sport teams to conceptualize and execute video projects. Manages and contribute creative ideas involving social networking websites.
- Responsible for management of specific parts of the University athletics website, design projects for athletic marketing initiatives.
- Determines appropriate budget allocations of chosen initiatives. Works with University offices on contracts, equipment purchases and software purchases.
- Hires, trains, evaluates and supervises staff and student employees.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.
Required education
- Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- Two years’ relevant experience.
- Experience working live sporting event broadcast, video production, or content creation.
- Working knowledge of the broadcast process.
- Working knowledge and functional understanding of cabling, broadcast audio, camera operation, replay devices, broadcast switchers, and computer-generated graphics.
- Experience with electronic news gathering cameras.
- Experience with non-linear video editing software.
- Proficient computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and social media.
Required other
- Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Ability to travel.
Physical requirements
Light work with some physical demands such as continuously lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds, but rarely moving more than 25 to 50 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
