General summary
Oversees and implements programs designed to meet the essential needs of University students. Works to ensure resources are available to address food insecurities, emergency financial needs, and other emerging needs identified by the advisory board.
Major duties
- Researches, develops, and implements improvements to assigned programs.
- Oversees the daily functioning of assigned programs through managing budgets, program promotion, and processing applications.
- Utilizes wellness and essential needs models to inform and guide comprehensive programs and services for students in need. Identifies national trends, collections and analyzes data, and makes data-informed decisions for assigned programs.
- May serve as a lead on an advisory board of stakeholders that is designed to identify and meet the invisible needs of University students.
- Hires, trains, and supervises student employees.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.
Required education
- Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- Two years' relevant experience.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to guide and lead the operations and vision of the program.
- Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with all constituents.
- Ability to assume both a supervisory and functional role within the program.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
