General summary

Directs comprehensive academic and student services. Participates in the effort for student success, recruitment, counseling, enrichment, persistence, retention and degree completion. Leads Enrollment Management, including oversight and supervision of student services. Leads assessment and strategic planning.

Major duties

  • Directs college wide effort for student counseling, enrichment, persistence, retention and success. Develops programs and activities which promote student engagement, development, cultural enrichment and success at both the undergraduate and graduate level.
  • Provides leadership for comprehensive, excellent standard of customer service and communication with students including student concerns reported to the dean's office.
  • Leads the student scholarship application, review and award process at the college level. Establishes goals and objectives for student enrichment and success.
  • Leads enrollment management, assessment and strategic planning in collaboration with leadership. Develops and maintains cutting edge knowledge of current trends and best practices of recruitment, enrollment management, student services and retention.
  • Serves as a central college coordination point for departments with data and reports. Analyzes data, prepares summaries, presentations, and recommendations.
  • Develops and implements strategies to advance the goals of the college.
  • Oversees recruiting and academic advising activity. Facilitates the establishment of goals and objectives for recruitment and academic advising.
  • Serves in a leadership role on committees that impact academic and student life at the University. Participates in policy development.
  • Represents the college at the university, regional and national levels.
  • Directs and leads other projects as assigned.

Minimum qualifications

Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.

Required education

  • Master's degree in related field from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • Three years' relevant experience.
  • Proven successful experience in higher education leadership, including academic and student services.
  • Experience with project management.

Required other

  • Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including evenings and weekends.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
