General summary

Serves as the operational leader for strategic engagement infrastructure, overseeing systems, processes, initiatives, and cross-functional collaboration that advance the University's external engagement priorities. Leads implementation of the partnership framework and develops reporting, partnership insights, and operational processes to strengthen strategic partnerships.

Major duties

  • Leads strategic initiatives and operational infrastructure by developing project management systems, governance processes, budgets, timelines, and accountability measures.
  • Coordinates cross-functional efforts, monitors progress and drives continuous process improvement to advance institutional priorities.
  • Serves as program manager for the engagement framework, coordinating implementation, facilitating engagement teams, tracking outcomes, and developing performance metrics and executive reporting to measure partnership impact.
  • Coordinates strategic engagement initiatives and executive events, managing planning, logistics, communications, budgets, and evaluations while strengthening connections between external partners and the University.
  • Leads communications, partnership intelligence, and technology initiatives through executive reports, dashboards, Geographic Information Systems (GIS) mapping, web content, presentations, annual reports, social media, and AI-powered tools that showcase partnership impact and enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Mentors, trains, evaluates and supervises student employees.

Minimum qualifications

Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.

Required education

  • Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • Five years' relevant experience.
  • Experience leading complex projects and strategic initiatives.
  • Expertise in communications, stakeholder engagement, external relations, and organizational operations.
  • Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including weekends.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
