Project Manager Finance and Infrastructure (Part-Time)

General summary

Oversees the daily operations of the finance and infrastructure unit, including project management, accounting and financial functions, and monitoring divisional multi-unit vendor contracts.

Major duties

  • Implements and monitors capital project cycles, processing and tracking project requests. Serves as the coordinating liaison for project completion and closure.
  • Coordinates multi-unit service contracts, monitors contract compliance, and coordinates review meetings and agendas.
  • Conducts monthly financial reporting and reconciliations for unit and division accounts. Processes journal and budget entries as applicable. Monitors, investigates and pays invoices.
  • Provides general office and administrative support. May represent department leadership at meetings or respond to inquiries during absences.
  • Provides project team coordination support. Schedules meetings, tracks project schedules, coordinates operational changes as a result of new buildings or significant remodels. Attends project meetings with internal and external constituents.
  • Coordinates promotional communications and special events for new buildings and large-scale remodel projects.
  • Hires, trains, evaluates and supervises student employees.

Minimum qualifications

Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.

Required education

  • Associate's degree or two years' college coursework in a related field from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • Three years' relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of financial monitoring and financial transaction processing.
  • Office software skills, including word-processing, presentations, spreadsheets and databases.
  • Customer service experience.

Required other

  • Ability to travel across campus and navigate construction sites.
  • May occasionally include work that needs to be performed outdoors.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is performed with exposure to any number of elements which may occasionally require some precautions such as safety glasses, protective clothing, ear protection, etc.
