General summary
Manages day-to-day operations, staff, and facilities of the Bronco Study Zone. Determines and implements long-term program goals and direction. Reports learning and retention outcomes to student success services.
Major duties
- Leads Bronco Study Zone program, including the development of goals and objectives, provides oversight of operations, and represents the program with all university constituents.
- Serves as the point of contact for coordination of departmental tutors.
- Maintains website, coordinates marketing of services. Manages the virtual hub for online academic support services.
- Oversees budget and tutoring schedules and monitors regular progress to ensure accuracy and reliability.
- Serves as a liaison between departmental academic support programs and the student population. Serves as the academic specialist for the navigation network.
- Gathers data and compiles reports regarding program usage and effectiveness.
- Establishes and evaluates appropriate policies and procedures. Researches and utilizes trends and best practices for academic support and success services.
- Collaborates interdepartmentally to offer access to study space and time for departments.
- Creates and implements professional development curriculum for all student success services' student staff.
- Hires, trains, evaluates and supervises student employees.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.
Required education
- Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- Three years' relevant experience.
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
