General summary
Directs the operations of the cybersecurity program office. Provides academic support and advising. Develops, implements, and evaluates cybersecurity student outreach programs and initiatives. Recruits students by developing and implementing marketing strategies and programs.
Major duties
- Directs the daily operations of the cybersecurity programs office. Manages resources and creates protocols for efficient workflows. Coordinates functions and processes between departments for all cybersecurity programs’ needs.
- Develops, implements, evaluates, maintains, and modifies policies, procedures, and practices pertaining to student services and academic advising, including counseling, admissions and re-admission, orientation, and registration.
- Processes admissions for new graduate students. Advises all graduate students and manages graduation. Collaborates with advisors on all undergraduate student advising and graduation. Serves on appropriate committees related to these initiatives.
- Develops and oversees strategies and initiatives for the recruitment of graduate and undergraduate students both domestically and internationally.
- Oversees the Cybersecurity Programs social media and website presence. Tracks and analyzes the effectiveness of marketing initiatives and admission activities. Oversees research to identify additional ways to reach target group and referral sources. Markets and represents the Cybersecurity Programs at events both on and off-campus.
- Develops relationships, promotes, and markets the graduate and undergraduate programs to potential students, community leaders, and other organizational and business stakeholders regionally and globally. Manages all outreach initiatives and programs to include external projects and summer camps.
- Collaborates with the Cybersecurity Program Committee for Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology. Maintains National Security Agency and Department of Homeland Security Center of Academic Excellence designations.
- Collaborates with the Co-Directors of cybersecurity programs, faculty, and members of appropriate committees, to evaluate student satisfaction, monitor market trends, and other university and college stakeholders to develop short- and long-term strategic initiatives for the cybersecurity programs.
- Hires, trains, evaluates and supervises student employees.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.
Required education
- Master's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- Three years' relevant experience.
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to provide student support and advising within a specialized academic program.
- Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software.
Required other
- Ability to travel in-state and out-of-state. Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including evenings and weekends.

Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
