General summary
Assists with ticketing operations at the Miller Auditorium box office.
Major duties
- Coordinates daily operations of ticketing system and system management.
- Accounts for all income generated from ticket sales.
- Oversees data collection and management of auditorium patrons. Generates reports for staff, marketing and show producers.
- Manages seating inventory for auditorium showings.
- Enforces established policies and procedures.
- Prepares ticket settlements for show management. Oversees group sales efforts for shows.
- Hires, trains, evaluates and supervises temporary and student employees.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.
Required education
- Associate's degree or two years' college coursework in a related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- One year's relevant experience.
- Experience with preparing settlement reports in a box office setting.
Required other
- Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including evenings and weekends.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
