General summary

Provides application administration, life cycle and strategic management, critical document security and access protocols for the enterprises imaging and document management system.

Major duties

  • Oversees the overall application management lifecycle of software and hardware involved in delivering document imaging and management capabilities.
  • Manages troubleshooting and problem resolution for technical issues as they occur. Performs root cause analysis. Develops and documents solutions to address root causes and prevent reoccurrences.
  • Collaborates with customers to design workflow and imaging solutions that meet their document management needs.
  • Recognizes customers' requirements for desired changes to business processes and alters existing system configuration set up. Identifies changes and provides training as needed.
  • Identifies opportunities for application enhancements, additional components, or new applications to support the University’s document imaging and management needs.
  • Implements updates and upgrades to hardware and software applications, including developing and executing effective communication plans.
  • Manages appropriate access management that meets the information security and data governance policies and practices.
  • Produces and maintains documentation detailing application architecture, dependencies, and system requirements necessary for document imaging and management systems.
  • Maintains an appropriate understanding of each component necessary to properly manage, operate, and optimize those components.

Minimum qualifications

Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.

Required education

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field from an accredited institution, or a Bachelor’s degree in a non-related field from an accredited institution combined with relevant experience.

Required experience

  • Five years' relevant experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to provide a high-level of customer service.
  • Ability to problem solve.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
