General summary

Produces video and digital content for all varsity sports program with the goals of enhancing the University athletics brand, increasing fan engagement, and growing revenues.

Major duties

  • Develops and collaborates on creative elements for social media, in-arena use, and other various sources. Ensures high quality results that positively reflect the University and athletics programs.
  • Assists with creating promotional campaigns that increase fan engagement and interaction on social media and other digital outlets. Collaborates with other university departments, and sponsorship to create videos and collateral material needed.
  • Provides guidance and direction in video board operations, live stream event productions, website content management and other video related projects.
  • Assists in prioritizing projects, shooting, editing, producing and distributing video and audio content for usage across various media platforms. Produces content that generates enthusiasm and increased fan engagement.
  • Assists with needs and logistics associated with outside production.
  • Hires, trains, evaluates and supervises student employees.

Minimum qualifications

Required education

  • Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution

Required experience

  • One year's relevant experience.
  • Working experience of video production, Including shooting, nonlinear editing, color correction, and audio editing. Knowledge of and experience with graphic design software.
  • Working knowledge of the broadcast process.
  • Functional understand of cabling, broadcast audio, camera operation, replay devices, broadcast switchers, and computer-generated graphics.
  • Office software skills, including word-processing, presentations, spreadsheets and databases.

Required other

  • Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Ability to travel in and out of state.

Physical requirements

Light work with some physical demands such as continuously lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds, but rarely moving more than 25 to 50 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
