General summary
Oversees all activities pertaining to the integration of data from diverse sources. Monitors data flow between databases, servers, enterprise, auxiliary systems, and cloud services to identify and implement data integration architecture to maximize University security and data efficiency.
Major duties
- Integrates and maintains data between customer relationship management and enterprise resource planning systems.
- Performs comprehensive data integration across various enterprise systems, as well as operational, academic, research, and auxiliary systems utilized throughout the University.
- Collaborates closely with project sponsors, champions, security administrators, managers and developers to ensure that data integration functions align with the business requirements and are executed and maintained properly.
- Serves as a system administrator for data integration tools. Maximizes uptime, ensures efficiency, and manages access, monitoring, and reporting.
- Develops and maintains comprehensive documentation that serves both internal tracking purposes and provides essential information to key stakeholders regarding the creation and implementation of solutions.
- Leads or participates in University project teams and work groups to improve data availability and usage.
- Ensures the security and confidentiality of data.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.
Required education
- Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- Three years' relevant experience.
- Integration experience with enterprise cloud data management systems, student information systems, the University's degree audit software, lightweight directory access protocol, customer relationship management software, portfolio tracking software, database management systems.
- Experience with and knowledge of relevant computer languages.
Required other
- Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including evenings and weekends.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
