General summary
Oversees the coordination, implementation, and evaluation of programs designed to cultivate future educators and school counselors. This role involves close collaboration and effective communication between University faculty and staff and primary and secondary (K-12) school partners.
Major duties
- Coaches teachers in elementary education, special education or English as a second language in field-based clinical placements.
- Visits and observes program participants in classrooms. Provides support, feedback, and recommends actions for performance improvement.
- Oversees daily operations of programs to ensure projects are implemented. Assists with admission procedures. Responds to general queries from school districts. Coordinates program offerings. Acts as a liaison between the University and district partners,
- Facilitates and collects data on student and program outcomes in order to evaluate program success.
- Provides communication to all University faculty and staff and school partners for consistent messaging.
- Collaborates with faculty and staff and school partners to ensure student success. Maintains accurate records of services and ensures compliance of University policies and procedures.
- Works closely with University staff or designee in monitoring revenue and expenditures and to ensure effective fiscal management of programs.
- Works with site coordinators to provide induction support to program participants. Assists in tracking all participant placements, register and clear candidates for the program. Communicates concerns to the director of teacher education.
Minimum qualifications

Required education
- Master's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- Five years' relevant experience.
- Experience as a PreK-12 teacher with credentials education, special education or English as a second language, or experience as a school psychologist, school social worker, school based speech pathologist or other related service provider.
- A minimum or combined teaching, related service provision and PreK-12 Administration.
- Experience with project management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong Organizational skills.
- Strong collaboration skills.
- Strong problem solving skills.
Required other
- Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to travel off-campus.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
