General summary

Manages strategic partnerships initiatives and International Partnerships unit. Oversees and manages international contract development process and articulation process.

Major duties

  • Oversees and manages international contract development and approval process, ensuring compliance with University, State and Federal policies.
  • Serves as principal point of contact for multiple departments in the development of international agreements. Negotiates agreement terms with external partners.
  • Manages Information Technology platforms for agreement workflows and partnership data, researching innovative ways to organize and share partnership information with internal and external parties. Trains users on Information Technology platform use.
  • Creates detailed budgets for special tuition agreements.
  • Oversees partnerships committee responsible for defining, developing and monitoring strategic international partnerships. Conducts site visits to partners abroad in order to facilitate and monitor the development of partnership agreements.
  • Develops and implements quality assurance measures to evaluate and report on the strength of potential and existing partner relationships. Manages strategic partnership initiatives, new partnership agreements and strategic partnership development.
  • Oversees and manages course evaluation and articulation.
  • Provides input into the development and implementation of institutional policies and procedures related to articulation agreements and credit evaluation.
  • Manages Global Partnerships Unit. Manages communication with international partners. Manages partnerships website.

Minimum qualifications

Required education

  • Master's degree in related field from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • Five years' relevant experience required
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated cross-cultural sensitivity and awareness.
  • Experience in international education

Required other

  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally.

  • Working knowledge of a second language.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
