General summary

Manages the Children’s Trauma Assessment Center clinic.

Major duties

  • Directs program development and planning. Directs budget planning and management.
  • Directs daily operations of the assessment center, including oversight of referral and intake process, assessment and intervention policies and protocols. Coordinates with trans-disciplinary team supervisors to enhance team effectiveness.
  • Supervises and participates in assessment processes. Oversees and approves written clinical reports generated by clinical staff.
  • Manages project implementation of grants and contracts, including professional clinical training and professional consultation at the University, local and state level.
  • Participates in collaboration in national grant related projects, committees and workgroups. Participates in product development, research projects and presentations at the state and national level related to the center and collaborative group achievements.
  • Hires, trains, evaluates and supervises staff.

Minimum qualifications

Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.

Required education

  • Master's degree in related field from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • Three years' relevant experience.
  • Supervisory experience.
  • Budget management experience.
  • Experience in the assessment and treatment of traumatized children.
  • Experience in program administration and grant writing.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
