General summary
Provides assessment and accreditation leadership to the College of Education and Human Development.
Major duties
- Leads and supports the development of specialized accreditation processes and reporting requirements for all College of Education and Human Development faculty and staff.
- Develops and matures plans for quality improvement according to University strategic plans. Oversees annual and interim reporting to accrediting bodies.
- Manages ongoing processes to ensure compliance with all accreditation standards and progress toward success on relevant institutional and college strategic goals. Recommends, establishes, and monitors policies and procedures that guide the assessment system. Manages assessment timelines, scheduling, submission, and documentation of assessment cycle milestones.
- Collaborates to collect, interpret, and use assessment data. Analyzes and communicates trends, outcomes, strengths, and weaknesses pertinent to accreditation to key stakeholders.
- Supports leadership by leading quality improvement data summits, regular meetings, and sessions to discuss data, outcomes, compliance and priorities to ensure readiness for all self-studies and annual reporting. Collaborates on assessment initiatives.
- Facilitates strategic changes in the curriculum to improve education based on outcomes, data, and analysis. Provides guidance to leadership and faculty to monitor student learning outcomes and direct initiatives.
- Engages in financial planning and budget management.

Required education
- Master's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- Five years' relevant experience.
- Supervisory or lead experience.
- Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
- Knowledge of professional standards and credentialing rules and regulations for Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP), Michigan Department of Education (MDE), Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP) and other professional organization.
- Knowledge of accreditation processes for academic programs.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
