General summary
Provides accelerated matchmaking and navigation services to corporate and community partners to create and maintain mutually beneficial and holistic relationships between those entities and the University.
Major duties
- Manges the UNITE corporate engagement process for a portfolio of major corporate and industry partners. Leads corporate engagement strategies for assigned colleges to build partnerships to advance talent pipelines, research collaborations, experiential learning and philanthropy.
- Supports the University's role in regional economic development by collaborating with regional partners. Leads the University's participation in economic development projects and strategies. Facilitates campus alignment with economic development priorities.
- Serves as the central connector for projects linking the University's academic mission to the community. Facilitates collaborations related to mobility, talent, placemaking, and community revitalization.
- Ensures customer relationship management usage and reporting for assigned corporate accounts. Develops frameworks to support institutional consistency in partner engagement.
- Represents the University at corporate, civic and government engagement events. Contributes to planning institutional engagement strategies.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.
Required education
- Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution
Required experience
- Five years' relevant experience.
- Experience in corporate partnerships, community engagement or economic development.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining partnerships with corporate and community organizations.
Required other
- Ability to travel in-state and out-of-state.
- Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including some evenings and weekends.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements
