General summary

Fosters student success by providing administrative and advisory support to Registered Student Organizations, Fraternities and Sororities.

Major duties

  • Develops and promotes programs in leadership, risk management, values integration, and diversity education. Assists with coordination of Greek Leadership Development Curriculum; and creates social media, recruitment, and marketing materials for the department.
  • Coordinates and provides administration to all Registered Student Organizations, including registration, recognition, and providing professional development through coaching and mentoring for students and advisors.
  • Advises and guides student organizations in event planning and delivery while developing, promoting, and coordinating leadership programs and training curricula.
  • Develops and implements reflective self-assessment processes for students to integrate experiences into their education and enhance their learning and development
  • Serves as a liaison between organizations and campus administrators. Oversees compliance with state and federal regulations. Works to resolve personnel and operational issues.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of comprehensive policies and procedures for student organizations.
  • Stays current on best practices. Connects and remains current on best trends for event programming by researching trends, conducting assessment, and attending professional conferences.

Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.

Required education

  • Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • One year's relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated progressive leadership responsibility.
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in advising, coaching and mentoring.
  • Demonstrated group facilitation experience.
  • Experience with marketing.
  • Understanding of social fraternities and sororities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Required other

  • Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including evenings and weekends.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
