General summary

Performs functional system support. Serves as the liaison between the University system users and information technology areas.

Major duties

  • Serves as an expert user of business and financial information systems. Collaborates with functional users and staff to align business requirements with technical solutions.
  • Ensures optimization of University software to support new business processes.
  • Serves as the liaison between the various departments for projects, system upgrades, maintenance, reports, and database enhancements.
  • Supports the change management process, resolves issues and ensures data integrity.
  • Researches to create reports. Analyzes data to generate insights and recommends potential procedure and guideline changes.
  • Provides implementation support.
  • Leads the troubleshooting process for system issues.
  • Manages application systems.
  • Prepares and sends timely and relevant communications to stakeholders.

Minimum qualifications

Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.

Required education

  • Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.

Required experience

  • Three years' relevant experience.
  • Professional accounting or financial services experience.
  • Proficient with accounting or financial software.
  • Advanced office software skills, including word processing, spreadsheets and presentations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
