General summary
Manages budgeting, accounting, and human resources operations of assigned offices.
Major duties
- Oversees assigned budgets and ensures fiscal integrity and compliance with established procedures. Develops and monitors budget data.
- Tracks project expenditures, reconciles accounts, and resolves discrepancies.
- Creates and maintains accurate financial records, reports, and databases to support operational needs and financial reporting. Conducts financial and data analysis. Continuously improves data collection and analysis systems.
- Creates and maintains systems for human resources to ensure compliance. Serves as the main point of contact for and manages the human resources activities within the college.
- Reviews documents to ensure accuracy and routes them to the appropriate parties for approval, signature, and processing.
- Serves as the primary liaison for managing affiliation agreements. Collaborates with college units to ensure accuracy of affiliation agreements within the system and complies with established deadlines. Provides training to the college faculty, staff, and administrators on the system used for affiliation agreements.
- Assists in providing training and guidance to staff and administrators on human resources financial policy and procedures. Executes special projects and assignments.
Minimum qualifications
Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.
Required education
- Associate's degree or two years' college coursework in a related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- Two years' relevant experience.
- Budget, institutional and fund management experience.
- Spreadsheet and office software proficiency.
- Accounting systems experience.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
