General summary

Manages complex projects related to information technology and communications and public relations efforts with student affairs initiatives, including designing, implementing, and evaluating recruitment and retention and outreach IT strategies, programs, and activities. Serves as the communications and marketing lead for all student recruitment and retention efforts.

Major duties

  • Oversees the implementation, diffusion, and maintenance of the student clinical placement software system(s). Ensures reliability and accuracy through regular database monitoring and audits, develops comprehensive documentation and training materials for the assessment system, trains faculty and staff, and acts as the primary liaison with software vendors to address system needs, and facilitates the implementation of new functionalities.
  • Collaborates with college-level communications, recruitment and outreach, and advising teams to create and manage marketing strategies, collateral, and social media content. Manages social media content management systems and collaborates with Marketing Manager.
  • Develops, implements, and oversees strategic recruitment and retention plans to achieve enrollment goals. Supports the college at recruitment events including but not limited to high school visits, open houses, and community college outreach.
  • Supports the development and implementation of policies and procedures for recruitment and outreach activities, manages budgets for related initiatives, and executes other projects and duties as needed
  • Provides project management support to implementation of the strategic and action planning system and expertise in ensuring integration of student-focused initiatives throughout the strategic plan.

Required education

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.

Required experience

  • Three years of relevant experience.

Required other

  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in higher education and supporting students.
  • Ability to travel in-state and out-of-state.
  • Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including evenings and weekends.

Physical requirements

Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.

Working conditions

Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
