General summary
This role is accountable for visioning, implementation, and evaluation and assessment of support provided to students and respective cohorts of the University Prestigious Scholarship recipients. Responsibilities include providing academic advising, supporting cohort community service projects, maintaining partnerships, and collaborating with campus and community partners to create and assess leadership development programming, ensuring comprehensive support for individual students and their respective scholarship cohorts.
Major duties
- Recruits and retains honors scholars while providing academic advising on scholarship and honors college requirements, in collaboration with the advising offices in academic colleges.
- Develops and manages evaluation and assessment processes to track retention, completion, and post-graduation success. Oversees program and budgeting and marketing efforts and act as a liaison with scholarship selection committees.
- Maintains, expands, and cultivates relationships with on-campus and community partners to facilitate smooth operation and effective outcomes for scholar cohort service projects. Develops and coordinates appropriate initial and ongoing training for cohorts to effectively engage with the populations served.
- Creates, implements, and maintains assessment and evaluation plans for service partnerships and prepares an annual impact report for each long-term service project.
- Develops, plans, executes and coordinates ongoing co-curricular opportunities for the University Prestigious Scholars to engage in intentional, holistic leadership development. This includes oversight of long-term service projects, time sensitive pop-up programs and regularly scheduled programs and events.

Minimum qualifications
Minimum qualifications based upon job documentation and industry best practices. Any current employees not meeting these qualifications will be grandfathered until they move to a different job.
Required education
- Master's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
Required experience
- Three years' relevant experience.
- Experience working with honors students or merit-based scholarships.
Required other
- Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including evenings and weekends.
Physical requirements
Office or other indoor work with minimal physical demands such as occasionally lifting or moving materials less than 25 pounds.
Working conditions
Work is generally performed in a well-lit, temperature-controlled indoor environment with occasional exposure to the outdoors or any number of elements.
